Pen Argyl Borough uses “Nixle” to send community notifications and important public information directly to residents.

Through Nixle, residents can receive timely updates by text message and/or email. Messages may include emergency alerts, public safety information, road closures, street sweeping schedules, snow emergencies, special event information, and other community announcements.

Nixle is one of the Borough’s best tools for quickly sharing important information with residents. Notifications can be delivered directly to your smartphone so you can stay informed in real time.

Only authenticated agencies, such as Pen Argyl Borough, can securely publish information through Nixle. You will not receive spam messages. The platform distributes four main types of messages:

• Alerts – Emergency or urgent notifications that may require immediate attention.
• Advisories – Important need-to-know information that is less urgent in nature.
• Community Information – General day-to-day updates, announcements, and community news.
• Traffic – Localized traffic, road closure, and transportation-related information.
